"

Freshly cooked Italian meatballs stewed slowly in a decadent tomato sauce provide a delicious meal. These flavor-bursting, juicy meatballs are a fan favourite. Homemade meatballs are superior to store-bought ones, whether they are eaten on their own or as a delicious and healthier topping for spaghetti or zoodles. To enhance the flavour, add your favourite herbs and spices to them.

With the Instant Pot, making your own meatballs is surprisingly simple. This easy recipe for busy nights makes delicious meatballs in less than 30 minutes. If, by some miracle, there are any leftovers, they're great with a crisp salad or on a bun for lunch the following day.

Ingredients

Meatballs

  • 6.80 grammes of ground beef
  • 227 grams of Italian sausage
  • finely chopped half of a medium onion
  • Minced two cloves of garlic
  • Half a box of panko breadcrumbs
  • Half a cup of finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup of finely chopped, fresh parsley
  • Two huge eggs that have been beaten
  • Sea salt that has been kosher
  • Ground black pepper just now

Sauce

  • 1/2 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • Two tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes (around 795 grams)
  • Kosher salt
  • Ground black pepper just now

Method

  1. Ground beef, sausage, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, parsley, and beaten eggs should all be carefully combined and thoroughly mixed in a big bowl. After adding salt and pepper to taste, form into 24 balls.
  2. Heat the oil and set the instant pot to Sauté. Add the onion and simmer, turning regularly, until softened, about 5 minutes after it begins to sauté.
  3. Add the tomato paste, garlic, and oregano, and simmer for about a minute, or until fragrant.
  4. When the tomatoes are crushed and seasoned with salt and pepper, add the meatballs.
  5. Put the Instant Pot's lid on securely and turn it to pressure. Simmer for eight minutes on high. For a speedy release, adhere to the manufacturer's instructions, making sure to wait until the cycle is finished before unlocking and taking off the lid.
