Maintenance and Care

 

Before First Use:

To start off on the right foot, wash the pan in hot soapy water using a nylon cloth/brush. Avoid using harsh scourers.  

Routine Cleaning:

After cooking, avoid adding cold water to a hot pan; wait until it cools down. Remove all food and fat residue using hot soapy water and a nylon cloth/brush. Heat tint or streak marks can result from excessive high heat, so refrain from using excessive high heat. To remove streak marks, create a paste by mixing 2 tablespoons of bicarbonate soda with water. Apply the paste with a soft cloth in a circular motion, then rinse off as usual. While the Impact range is dishwasher safe for convenience, handwashing is recommended to extend the life of the product. For even better results and an "as new" finish, consider using the SCANPAN Steel and Copper Cleaner.
